Editorial
I’ve provided editorial services for dozens of projects, evaluations, proposals, and grants for contracts with federal, state, regional, municipal, and tribal governments, and for private and nonprofit clients, in fields such as architecture, design, engineering, construction, environmental design and engineering, water resources management, climate change adaptation, toxic waste remediation, chemical products, and more.
I’ve written and edited academic writing, including graduate-level research papers in the humanities and social sciences.
And I write novels, short stories, poems, essays, and nonfiction articles (reportage).
Throughout my career I’ve tailored my humanistic storytelling to wide-ranging projects—communicating stories of federally funded climate change and disaster recovery programs; distilling and promoting science and environment research; and helping small businesses win multimillion-dollar proposals in areas as diverse as coastal engineering, school design and construction, and military facility renovation.

Photography
I’ve photographed artists, founders, graduates, models, and other individuals. My curious and open mind and heart has led me to photograph cities, landscapes, and people all over the world: Everest and the Himalayas in Nepal, the Inca Trail in Peru, park-goers in New York City, poets and painters in Joshua Tree, and skaters in Venice Beach.

Brand Storytelling
I’ve worked with brands to discover and refine language that conveys their brand’s heart, soul, and mission. We collaborate to showcase your brand in the most compelling and honest way, through words and images.
I worked with Jackrabbit Studios, an artist retreat space in Landers, California, and their founder, Jennifer Azlant, to capture the magic of this High Desert sanctuary and its surrounds.
